Tree report and surveying

In a nutshell, tree surgeons make sure that your trees and plants stay healthy. They also work in conjunction with landscapers to ensure the environment they exist in thrives and blossoms.

We provide a wide range of tree surgery services across Somerset.

Dismantling: we dismantle trees over houses, garages, fences and many other buildings.

Crown reductions: we reduce the tree’s canopy all over to make it look smaller.

Crown thinning: this means thinning the canopy out to allow more light through the tree.

Conifer reductions: we cut and shape your conifers so they look great.

Site clearance/overgrown gardens: we’ll take your garden rubbish away and dispose of it responsibly.

Pruning: we’ll keep all your trees and plants under control.

Coppicing: cutting trees & shrubs such hazel and dogwoods so they can re-grow. This is done in the winter.

Crown lifting: raises the canopy from the ground.

Sectional felling: removing all or part of a tree by sectioning it into smaller pieces.

Pollarding: cuts off all the branches leaving a tree trunk to re grow. This is often done with street trees and willow trees on the Somerset Levels.

Dangerous trees: we deal with trees that have become dangerous as a result for example of storm damage.

Wood processing and splitting: many of our customers have installed wood burners as a way of reducing the cost of heating. We are increasingly processing the wood from their trees to supply them.

Hedge reductions & trimming: we stop your hedges getting out of control.

Supplying and planting trees and hedges: in addition to managing your trees and plants, we can also help you find and plant new ones.

Woodland management: we manage woodland areas to keep them under control.

Woodland strip mowing/paddocks: we now have a mower that can cut very long and thick grass up to 6 ft. high and small saplings leaving the area tidy and back under control.

Wherever possible, all waste is chipped and recycled.

Tree preservation: we process applications to the council for any tree work needed. This takes about 8 weeks to complete although in some cases the work can be refused.

Work in Conservation Areas: we process applications to the council for any tree work needed. This takes about 6 weeks to complete although in some cases the work can be refused.

All tree work is carried out to the BS 3998 standard.

We also provide Tree Reports and Surveys, Mortgage Reports and Tree Risk Assessments, BS5837 Reports Trees in relation to construction, tree health and diagnosis.
